SPA10/20 is an accessory for the Vesala cable tracers. It is suitable for tracing e.g. small empty cable piping routes in buildings, prefabricated hollow wall blockages or non-conductive sewers and their blockages. Usage of SPA10/20 resembles usage of the pipe transmitters, which is an independent transmitter.
Warning: Last items in stock!
SPA10/20 is connected to a cable tracer and gradually inserted into the target pipe, continuously monitoring its progress in the pipe until it e.g. hits a blockage. Tracing is done with receiver and an inductive probe. If tracing distance (depth) is less than 30cm, close range probes LA1 or LA5 are the best choices, with longer distances SA1 or SA10 probes can be used.
Besides tracing the pipe’s route with SPA10/20, there is a small transmitter coil at the head of the antenna, which can be traced very accurately e.g. in case of a blockage: When approaching the head with a receiver using normal minimum tracing method, signal first considerably increases but right above the exact location of the head there is a clear minimum. The minimum can be seen as a line running transversely against the direction of the pipe. Also the depth of the head can be defined with a certain method.
SPA10 is 10 meters long. SPA20 is 20 meters long. The nylon tube arm is 6mm in diameter and the antenna head approx. 10mm. The color of the product may differ from the product image.
